This is an NOS Hurst Roll Control Kit, also known as a line lock. The part number is 174-4394 as shown. When installed, this kit allows the driver to lock up the front brakes while leaving the rear brakes disengaged. This allows the driver to freely spin the rear tires for burn outs and launches while keeping the car in position. This is very useful in drag racing and when doing an awesome burnout. It can also be used as a parking brake. This is the earlier style and is very hard to find in any condition, let alone New Old Stock.
This line lock kit is complete and brand new in the original box. The current style offered looks much different than this one. This earlier design is quite hard to find for a correct vintage build. As you can see, there are 2 sets of instructions, one for a single bowl master and the other for a dual bowl. This is a very early kit with the docs dated 1969.
