Rebuilt Holley 2300 2 barrel carburetor with Holley manual choke conversion for 1957 thru 1962 Ford Y block passenger car applications (272, 292, 312 332V8). Unit will also replace the Holley 2300 used on 1960 thru 1964 AMC Ramblers ( 250, 287, 327V8). See the vehicle compatibility list for applicable vehicle years and models and verify your application. The Holley 2300 was used as factory equipment on most late 1950s Ford Y block and was used until the early 1960s as a dealer installed or aftermarket service replacement. AMC V8s also used the Holley 2300 as factory equipment on 2 barrel V8 models from 1960 to 1964. (IMPORTANT NOTE: This Holley 2300 will replace the 1957-62 Y block Ford Autolite 2100 2 barrel but will require routing the fuel line to the side with an in-line filter and changing the original 2100 aircleaner to the widely available Holley 2300 type). All of the stock passenger car applications used an automatic manifold heated choke and this unit features a simple fool proof hand operated choke conversion allowing universal application on all models requiring only the installation of a choke pull cable and connecting side mounted 1/2-20 fuel line and the distributor vacuum line. Carburetor fits standard Ford 2 barrel manifold ( stud/bolt hole centers 3-3/8" front to rear X approx. 5-1/8" side to side). Carburetor throttle bore diameters are 1-7/16" with Holley giving a rating of 350CFM. Unlike "over-carbureted" high cfm "racing" carbs the Holley 2300 provides clean rapid throttle response without hesitation combined with the high torque necessary for a street driven vehicle.
