Full Scale Hot Rods & Customs - This Guy's Garage - Hot Rod Network

You might not see a more eclectic collection of cars in one photo than this shop, just a couple high-gear blasts away from the beach in Southern California. We stopped by Troy Martin's shop to take a closer look at his 1953 Ford wagon, but were immediately sucked in by the distinctive fragrance of MIG welding. Troy bought the shop from its previous owner, and it has much of that rough 1960s vibe going for it. But the real treasures are the wholly different cars we captured the day we visited. Troy was heating and beating a set of kingpins out of a dropped axle for a customer, while his guys were busy welding sheetmetal on at least two other cars during Car Craft's photo shoot. If you were Superman with X-ray vision, you'd see the shop next door housing a long-term project Oldsmobile custom that Troy works on when he's not dealing with the chaos that makes up a normal work week. Just as we were leaving, another customer rolled up with an early Ranchero that was scheduled to get a Mustang five-speed and yet another new front suspension. The four corners run 15-inch Wilwood brakes that will have to stop the Jon Kaase–built, Boss Nine–headed, 520-inch big-block Ford backed with an overdrive automatic. Source: www.hotrod.com
