Fiat Chrysler recalls 843000 pickups for airbag deployment issue - MLive.com
DETROIT, MI - Fiat Chrysler Automobiles announced Saturday it is recalling some 843,000 pickup trucks because of an issue that involves airbags deploying when the doors are slammed too hard. The recall affects 667,406 trucks in the U. S. , including 2013-2015 model years Ram 1500 and 2500 pickups. The recall also includes 153,011 of those same pickups in Canada, 8,272 in Mexico and 14,847 outside the NAFTA region. The recall was announced a day after FCA said it was calling back 1. 4 million cars and trucks to update software in the radio system after the well-publicized and planned hack of 2014 Jeep Cherokee's infotainment system.
