The 2013-2014 Dodge Ram with the 5.7L Hemi offers several refinements over the previous year-model trucks, and the changes are more than skin deep. In addition to better interior and creature comforts, Ram also made some changes under the hood. AIRAID was able to refine its popular MXP Cold Air Intake system as well, which now unlocks an additional 16 horsepower and 21 lb-ft of torque with a simple bolt-on installation.
Like previous models, the latest AIRAID Cold Air Intake for the 2013-2014 Ram 1500 uses a unique tri-lobe design intake tube, which improves airflow over the factory intake tube while offering a cool, stylized look. The new intake tube is attached to a new one-piece roto-molded intake box that utilizes the factory cold air scoop, plus adds additional cold-air passages.
The cold air is fed through a massive 1300-cfm air filter that is available with your choice either AIRAID's oiled composite filter media or Dry SynthaMax filtration technologies. The top of the airbox includes blade-style weather-stripping, which seals against the hood to keep hot engine compartment air away from the filter.
Like the rest of the AIRAID product line, the new MXP air intake works with factory tuning; simply bolt it on and enjoy the additional power on tap. All necessary hardware is included along with easy-to-understand instructions
