A Silver Alert has been canceled for a 70-year-old Rio Rancho man who reportedly walked away from his daughter while they were visiting Stapleton Elementary School Monday morning. Rio Rancho Police Department Captain Paul Rogers said Daniel Smith was found Monday afternoon on Sate Road 4. Rogers said he is receiving minor medical treatment. According to Rio Rancho police, Daniel Smith suffers from Alzheimer's and dementia. Smith was wearing blue jeans, a blue jean jacket and a royal blue ball cap with a white Dodge Ram emblem.
