Police Chief Julie Dijkstra reported to the board that in March she received approval to purchase a car and a truck and she received the car but is still waiting on the truck. Street Superintendent Brent Warren said the old gray silo on the former ADM property along South Main Street’s property will be coming down and he was requesting permission to close the north-south alley between that property and Kemp Electric. He reported that new property owners also want to tear down some other structures too, so Warren asked if the alley closure could be extended a few weeks so the alley could be closed off from time to time as needed during the month of August. Warren suggested painting yellow lines in front of the canopy at the club for about a half-block heading toward Main Street and mark it bus parking only from 2:30-4:30.
