The big car's body style is what's known as a pillarless hardtop, for the lack of door frames and centre post under the roof. Hardtops were sportier than sedans but could carry a family, and were often bought by customers who chose plusher interiors, whitewalls, bigger engines. He said that if I decided I didn’t want the car, he would reimburse the cost of gas to and from St. Louis.
