Topeka police reported one truck theft and another attempted theft on Thursday, adding to a string of stolen vehicles reported this week. ? A 1996 white Dodge Ram was stolen from the 1400 block of S. W. 13th between 8:30 p. m. Wednesday and 8:55 a. m. Thursday. Its value was estimated at $4,000. ? Someone attempted to steal a 2000 Dodge truck worth about $8,500 from the 1900 block of S. W. Burnett between 4:30 and 5 a. m. Thursday. The face plate was worth about $300. ? Someone stole $97 worth of gravel from Green Point Recycling, 1405 S. E. Madison, between 10 a. m. and noon on April 22. The report was filed Wednesday. The items had a combined value of $54. ? Kohls, 6130 S. W. 17th, reported a Bluetooth speaker and a Timex watch, worth a combined $230, had been stolen between 12:30 and 1 p. m. Thursday. ? West Ridge Mall reported someone had stolen a nylon emergency bag and its contents, as well as some electrical wiring, with a combined value of about $131. The theft happened between 2:06 a. m. and 7:30 a. m. Thursday. ? Orscheln, 1139 S. W. Wanamaker, reported $19 worth of tools and $10 in cash stolen between 3:43 and 3:47 p. m. Thursday.
