The Audi Q5 Hybrid Quattro is Audi’s pioneering electric model. It is a full Hybrid vehicle that combined the multi-award winning 2. 0 litre tfsi engine with a high performance 33KW electric motor, which is powered by a lithium ion battery. When the ignition is on and the car is ready to rive the display will flash “ready”, while the battery charge indicator is similar to a fuel gauge, letting the driver know how much charge is remaining. The automatic start stop function conserves energy when waiting at traffic lights, and when you accelerate hard the combustion engine kicks in so as not to waste electric power. When EV mode is selected an efficient combination of both power sources is used, and the Q5 Hybrid will be able to drive up to 62mph. When using the regular engine the “Boost” function can be used when the vehicle is accelerating or overtaking, which gives it an extra jolt of power from the electric motor.
