The 2012 Ram 2500 is available in eight distinct trim levels – ST, SLT, Outdoorsman, Lone Star, Big Horn, Power Wagon, Laramie and Laramie Longhorn. Ram 2500 comes in three cab configurations, Regular, Crew and Mega with bed lengths available of 6-foot-4-inches and 8-feet. We have just spent a week driving a Flame Red Clear Coat Ram 2500 Outdoorsman 4X4 with 8-foot bed around Austin and a roundtrip to Dallas for the annual Texas Auto Writers Association Auto Roundup competition. As with all Ram pickup trucks we have tested recently, this truck was an excellent road and highway performer and nicely appointed in the cabin. On average, Ram Heavy Duty’s buyer is predominately male (90 percent) and approximately 52 years old. Fifty percent of heavy-duty truck buyers use their trucks for work, and 100 percent also use their trucks for fun and leisure (family).
