2001 M5 imported from Germany.I have all the import docs. It's been registered in California since 2011 and passed all smog inspections since then. I've been and am the only registered owner in the US. The smog inspection requirement in CA has changed in 2020, and this car cannot be registered in California. It now needs to go through a special emission lab test to produce the CA Emission Sticker, just like those new vehicles. This test is expensive costing thousands for this import. I advice you to have your local smog station to run the VIN#. If their system is ok, then i think you should be able to register this car. Note: This car's engine runs perfectly with no emission issue and met all the COx and NOx emission the past 10 years. CA no longer does emission for cars newer than 2000. So I want to sell it to a state that doesn't require smog inspections, such as Alabama, Florida, Iowa, Michigan, S. Carolina, S. Dakota, Washington, Wyoming, etc. Just to name a few. Check out the link below, and you should contact your local DMV before purchasing this car. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vehicle_inspection_in_the_United_StatesThe car: 83.9k mi, or 135,000 km (on display). Note: Multipoint inspection done recently done at Fremont BMW Dealer, CA with no issues, during the airbag recall work. I drive this car 4-5k mi a year in average. Oil change every year. All maintenance are up-to-date. Oil change recently (10W60), brake fluid. New two front rotors and brake pads (using original BMW parts). At 23k mi or 37k km, two new O2 sensors replaced. Recently replaced: At 65k mi, replaced all coolant hoses including the two short hoses behind the engine, water pump, thermostat, CPS sensors. Spark plugs. Two oil separator valves. Two mass air sensors (MAS). Transmission and differential fluids. Just recently replaced expansion tank (coolant), coolant sensor, coolant flush, valve cover gasket (right side), 4 new tires. New drive & AC belts. The car...
