This wood type is Dark Grain Ash (BMW Fine Wood Trim option code S438A). The ashtrays door opens and closes smoothly and normally. The wood trim is very smooth and shiny. There are only a few light scratches in the finish from typical use. There are no crazing marks or chips in the wood. The mounting points are all intact. Details can be viewed in the photos.
