Police continue to tail attempted murder suspect - The Kingston Whig-Standard
The hunt for a man accused of attempted murder is still on for the Kingston Police Major Crimes Unit. It has been 20 days since Justin Hunter allegedly drove over a woman in the early morning of July 14, and investigators are now following numerous leads on the the tail of the wanted man. There is a nationwide warrant for 33-year-old Hunter’s arrest after he allegedly struck a 22-year-old Kingston woman while driving a black 2015 Dodge ram truck the morning of July 14, according to Kingston Police. The victim was transported to hospital with a serious but non life-threatening leg injury, and the truck was recovered by Kingston Police the next day. “Kingston Police have received enough evidence and information to believe that Justin Hunter was the driver of the truck,” a news release on July 16 stated. “Detectives also feel Hunter is actively avoiding arrest and, other than Kingston, is known to frequent the areas of Napanee, Deseronto and Belleville. Brian Pete, in charge of the force’s Major Crimes Unit, the team is following up on credible information. McMullen said police believe Hunter is still in the Belleville-Kingston area.
