At one time the gold standard of sports sedans, recently the 3-series has lost a bit of its shine. While it offers a wide range of powertrains (including a hybrid and a diesel) with manual or automatic transmissions and comfortable yet driver-focused interiors, the 3-series lacks the pleasing tactility of previous generations.
