Canby man attacked in Washington State; police say he later died from injuries - FOX10 News
Family tells FOX 12 that Anthony Bowers, 54, went to Lakewood, Washington for a family reunion on July 19th. . He was out buying groceries for the party when he was attacked, and it appears he was simply in the wrong place at the wrong time,... Investigators think the assault happened somewhere between the Lakewood Walmart on Bridgeport Way and Manitou Park on 66th street in Tacoma, sometime between 4:50pm and 5pm. Bowers mother, Sharon Mrokowski, says after the assault, he went back to... “He was kind of a private guy, you know macho, and he didn’t want to say anything,” said mother Sharon Mrokowski. At some point police say Bowers later told his family what happened. Mrokowski says her son was later rushed to the hospital, and underwent multiple surgeries to remove multiple brain clots. Soon after, Mrokowski says her son died, and the family feels like they still don’t really know why. Mrokowski says she’s now doing all that she can do from her Canby home to seek answers, and is pleading to the public to share anything they know about the attack. “I know it’s not going to bring him back, nothing is going to, but it would just be to know.
