About this vehicle
For your consideration is an all original 1997 BMW 318TI. This has been my daily driver for the past 2+ years, it runs and drives great, no leaks and no rust.Click on the video below to see a quick walk around of the vehicle:
Seller's NotesThis is the rare hatchback model of the BMW e36. I have owned the car since June of 2018. The car has never let me down or stranded me - The engine and transmission in this car is notoriously long lasting and reliable. I purchased the car from California, so the vehicle has no rust. Overall, I'd say the exterior is a 7 or 8 out of 10. There are some minor dents and scratches that have been touched up over the years, but overall the paint still really shines and the car looks very clean. The worst blemishes on the vehicle are 2 paint chips on the hood that have been touched up which I show in the video. I have always stored the car in a garage. The interior is clean, I'd go 8 out of 10. I had a new headliner installed 2 years ago, so that looks perfect. New brakes and rotors were installed 2 years ago. The tires are winter tires with plenty of tread remaining. I had a Kenwood Bluetooth Stereo installed, so you can play music from your phone and talk hands free with the stereo through bluetooth. You can customize the lighting colors of the stereo, so it still looks very much stock. That is the only modification I have made to the vehicle.
Small issues
- Passenger air bag light on - Driver window slightly off track so doesn't always roll up smoothly- Radiator fan only engages with AC turned on - AC not currently working
Conclusion
All in all, this is a really rad, retro BMW hatchback that you don't see everyday. The design is fantastic, you can really carry A LOT with the hatchback trunk and seats that fold down. It's economical, reliable and SUPER fun to drive - like driving a BMW go-kart. This is a nice classic that you likely won't find...
