27 at about 9 p. m. , Milpitas Police Department officers responded to the report of a battery incident at Sports Authority at 1200 Great Mall Drive. That evening, a 24-year-old San Mateo woman was inside the business when a man allegedly approached and touched her buttocks and then quickly walked out of the store, police said. The victim, who was not injured, provided police with a suspect's description. The victim later positively identified him as the suspect, police said. Officers cited and released Jose Manuel Gonzalez Jr. , 23, of Milpitas, for simple battery, police said. 27 at about 5 p. m. , police received the report of battery at a business at 730 E. Capitol Ave. That evening, a security guard working at that location was confronted by a 59-year-old Milpitas woman who claimed she was looking for her husband who worked at that location, police said. Police said due to miscommunication between the guard and woman both got into a verbal argument that escalated into a physical confrontation. However, the victim was not injured, police said. Arriving officers cited Shawn Walter Davis, 46, of Milpitas, on charges of battery, police said. 26 at 4:40 p. m. , police responded to the report of a commercial burglary at Public Storage at 1080 Pecten Court.
