Flat tire leads to drug arrests - Beatrice Daily Sun

Gage County deputies arrested two people for drug possession after reports of a suspicious vehicle with a flat tire. Shortly after 7:30 p. m. Friday, a Gage County deputy was dispatched to Hoyt Road near South 36th Road. Deputies located the 1993 Chevrolet S-10 pickup, and identified 30-year-old Heather L. Lucas as a passenger. Lucas told the deputy her friend Mike walked down the road to get help with the flat tire, but said she didn’t know his last name. The deputy asked Lucas when she last used drugs and she allegedly said she smoked methamphetamine two years ago and marijuana about a month ago. Lucas allegedly became nervous when the deputy asked about it. While waiting for her friends to arrive, a male later identified as Michael Morgan, 26, approached from the east. The owner arrived and said she lent the vehicle to Morgan two days earlier and allowed to the deputy to search the pickup. The leopard print container had four smaller plastic containers, five white capsule pills, a tightly rolled dollar bill and small white crystals scattered in the bag. One of the smaller containers had a small plastic bag inside with a white crystal substance inside. Source: beatricedailysun.com
