17-year-old girl killed in rollover crash on Hwy 299 - KRCRTV.COM
A 17-year-old Redding girl was killed in a single car collision on Highway 299 in Shasta County early Sunday. The crash happened around 2:50 a. m. on Highway 299 east of Redding in the Bella Vista area. According to a news release from the California Highway Patrol, the 1997 Chevrolet Lumina was eastbound when it left the road just west of Deschutes Road. The car came to rest on its roof in the eastbound lane of the highway. Due to the debris from the crash, Highway 299 was closed in both directions for about one hour.
