ITEM: Up for bids is a vintage Delco AM/FM Cassette Car Radio. This is an original GM car radio.
INFO: This unit was manufactured in Mexico. This unit should fit the following vehicles: 1990, 1991, 1992, 1993, 1994, 1995 and 1996 Buick Riviera, Chevy Beretta and Chevy Corsica.
INSPECTION: The exterior has signs of wear and usage. All of the original buttons and displays on the front of the unit are present. All of the writing and badges on the front are in good and can be read. On the front of the unit are the tuning dial and power/volume knob. The tuning, volume and band selector knobs turns and moves smoothly. On the rear of the unit is the antenna and connection port. Both ports are in good shape with no noted damage. The data sticker on the top of the unit is present legible and can be read. No burn marks or smells emitting from the unit.
TESTING: The unit was not fully tested but some minor bench testing was done. The unit does power up. The LED display lights up and all of the functions works properly. The cassette player works properly and does not eat cassette tapes. The clock does keep time. No further testing was done.
SUMMARY: Nice original part to be used as a replacement. Upon purchase of a cassette adapter the unit can be connected to MP3 players, cell phones and other electronic accessories. Nice vintage item for a car restorer or an auto salvage business. Here are some original parts to keep on your inventory and or to restore a vehicle to its factory state.
