LSU's Harris goes12 of 17, Jennings hits more TDs - Shreveport Times

BATON ROUGE – Quarterback Brandon Harris took the majority of the first team snaps and completed approximately 12 of 17 passes, but Anthony Jennings may have thrown more touchdowns in a 120-play scrimmage at Tiger Stadium and in the indoor... “Brandon Harris had the advantage significantly,” LSU coach Les Miles said when asked which quarterback had the most work with the first string. Miles had no printed passing statistics with him and estimated the numbers he gave. Asked if Harris, a sophomore who has taken significantly more first team snaps throughout August than 2014 regular starter Jennings, was indeed LSU’s new starting quarterback, Miles said, “I hate to predetermine that. “Both quarterbacks are improving,” Miles said. “We’re going to play the best quarterback. According to Miles statistical estimations, sophomore tailback Leonard Fournette led LSU in rushing in the scrimmage with 100 yards on 10 carries, followed by sophomore tailback Darrel Williams with 31 on eight carries and Harris with 16 on five... True freshmen tailbacks Derrius Guice and Nick Brossette had “a nice number of carries,” Miles said without giving any rushing yards totals. “He looks like a college back who could be a junior or a sophomore,” Miles said of Guice. As a team, Miles guessed LSU rushed for 270 yards and passed for 250 in a scrimmage that was moved in the late going to the indoor facility because of rain. I think we’re a good football team.
