Dunnellon crash victim identified as Jerry M. Rose, 71, of Citrus Springs - Ocala

Officials said they believe the 71-year-old Citrus Springs man was driving above the posted 35 mph speed limit for that portion of the roadway. Troopers said Rose was driving a 1996 Chrysler eastbound on East Pennsylvania Avenue, also known as County Road 484, when he lost control of his vehicle, which sideswiped a Jeep Compass parked on the side of the road. The Sebring also struck the rear of a GMC Canyon, which forced the GMC forward and onto the sidewalk. Troopers said when the Sebring hit the back of the GMC, the Sebring overturned and struck the back of the Isuzu Rodeo and flipped onto its roof.
