Fire destroys car in Hebron off Route 47 - Northwest Herald
The woman was stopped in a construction zone in her 1998 Chrysler Sebring on Route 47 north of Route 173 when she noticed black exhaust coming out of the car, Hebron-Alden-Greenwood Fire Protection District Deputy Chief Lloyd Laufer said. A construction worker then told the woman he saw the engine burning, prompting the woman to turn into a parking lot off Route 47 and get out of the car, Laufer said. A Hebron police officer was able to knock down some of the flames with a fire extinguisher, and fire officials extinguished the rest when they arrived, officials said. Source: www.nwherald.com
