"This (Norwalk High) was a big part of my growing up and it influenced my life and where I am today," Love said prior to the event. Love, 39, who was born to Haitian parents in Brooklyn, New York moved to Connecticut with her family when she was three years old. Growing up in an immigrant family, Love was raised Roman Catholic and graduated from Norwalk High in 1993 and The University of Hartford with a bachelor's degree in performing arts in 1997.
