The homeowner was unsure exactly when the jewelry was taken, but told police she believed the theft occurred between May and July 17. The items were previously left inside a jewelry box in the home, according to the police report. Police were dispatched to the 9600 block of Laurence Avenue July 23 for a report of two to three teens on bikes looking into car windows. Police asked the teens what they were doing in the area and they stated that they were waiting on a friend. After asking for identification, the officer asked one of the teens if he had anything illegal on him, at which point he handed over a glass jar containing 4. 4 grams of marijuana. Police then searched the teen and found a scale on his person, in addition to finding 3. 3 grams of marijuana and a scale on the second teen as well, the report said. A landscaping stone was thrown at a vehicle July 22 while it was parked in the driveway of a house in the 8400 block of Louise Avenue. When he woke up later that morning, he noticed that the passenger side window was shattered and the rear passenger door was dented on his 2008 Chrysler Aspen. Source: www.thenewsherald.com
