Collision totals 2 vehicles, closes State Road 545 - The Herald

DUBOIS — An accident on State Road 545 north of Dubois today resulted in injuries and two vehicles being totaled. Police say Diane Bair, 64, of 5934 Hill Park Drive, Dubois, was northbound on the highway in her 2014 Chrysler Town and Country van at 12:56 p. m. when she began to slow to make a right turn into a waste disposal site. , Jasper, was traveling behind Bair in his 1994 Ford Ranger truck and didn't notice the slowed vehicle in front of him, police said. Police say Servis applied his brakes in an attempt to avoid a collision but was unable to as his vehicle skidded more than 100 feet before striking the rear of the van. Police say both vehicles came to a rest 70 feet later partially in the northbound lane. Bair was transported to Memorial Hospital by personal vehicle after she complained of pain to her shoulder and thumb.
