SAN ANTONIO – NHRA Top Fuel driver Spencer Massey of Fort Worth has been released from Don Schumacher Racing as driver of the Red Fuel Powered by Schumacher/Sandvik Coromant Top Fuel dragster. “Spencer is no longer with DSR,” team owner Don Schumacher said Friday evening. Massey, 32, has competed in the Top Fuel division on the NHRA Mello Yello Drag Racing Series circuit since 2008. He has 18 career wins, including a victory earlier this season at the Gator Nationals in Gainesville, Florida. Prior to joining the NHRA, Massey competed in Top Fuel on the IHRA circuit and he posted a win in 2007 at San Antonio Raceway. Don Schumacher Racing currently fields seven professional NHRA teams.
