Kalamazoo police searching for robbery suspect released from hospital - MLive.com

Kevin DeAndre Ware, 23, was released from Bronson Methodist Hospital late Wednesday afternoon after he was ejected from a rolling car at roughly 1:30 a. m in Van Buren County, a news release issued by the Kalamazoo Department of Public Safety said. Though police will often apprehend suspects at Bronson if they're made aware of their discharge, KDPS was not made aware of Ware's release, KDPS Lt. Christopher Franks said Thursday afternoon. After robbing the clerks with a handgun, the two fled the scene in a 2006 Dodge Charger, though were stopped by deputies with the Van Buren County Sheriff's Office in Hartford Township an hour later, according to the release. As police detained Jackson, who was the car's passenger, Ware allegedly took off and lost control of the vehicle, which rolled into a tree, the release said. Jackson, meanwhile, was arrested and later arraigned on one count of armed robbery and felon in possession of a firearm, as well as two counts of felony firearm, the release said. Police are asking anyone with information regarding Ware's whereabouts to call 9-11, or contact Kalamazoo Public Safety at 337-8994, or Silent Observer at 343-2100.
