Police ID young woman found dead on Birmingham bridge; victim's Dodge Charger ... - AL.com
Authorities this morning identified a young woman found shot to death on an interstate bridge in Birmingham, and said they are looking for her stolen car. The body of Jacoria Ray, 20, was discovered about 6 p. m. Sunday. When they arrived, they found Ray lying just off the side of the road on the 47th Avenue Bridge over Interstate 65. Birmingham Fire and Rescue Service pronounced Ray dead on the scene. Authorities said Ray's body was discovered by a passerby. She was last seen about 4 p. m. Sunday driving her white 2014 Dodge Charger with Alabama license plate 1BW4010. Police Lt. Scott Thurmond said she was with an unidentified black male at that time. The last killing in Birmingham before Sunday was July 31. Police are asking the public to be on the lookout for Ray's missing vehicle. Source: www.al.com
