An ATV went missing from a home in the N06900 block of 810th Street in Elk Mound. The owner said the ATV was parked in front of his shed when he left town on Aug. 9, but didn’t notice the ATV was missing until Aug. The Polaris Sportsman ATV is valued at $3,000. Cut from the combine Two large batteries were stolen from a combine that had been in a field near the intersection of 130th Street and 890th Avenue in Menomonie. 9, he discovered two Interstate 12-volt batteries had stolen and the cables to the batteries had been cut. The total value of the batteries and cables is $500. Scrapped Sunfire A Pontiac Sunfire was reported stolen and sold without a title to River City Metal in Menomonie. The vehicle identification number matched the vehicle that was reported stolen. River City Metal said they didn’t remember who brought the car in, but the main office in Prescott would have all of the information from the sale. River City Metal was asked not to do anything with the car until contacted by the Durand Police Department. Slashing tires Two cars had their tires slashed in the same Menomonie neighborhood within the space of a couple of days. 16, a man reported his car had the rear tires slashed when parked at his apartment in the 200 block of Bowman Lane.
