It is more a testimony to the team mates I played with and the coaches that I played for. His senior year he averaged 19. 4 points per game, earning him all league and all state honors. That same year he was named to the Dodge City All Tournament team and was selected for the Mid-Kansas All Star Basketball Classic, Thresher All-Star Basketball Game and awarded the Untied States Marine Corps Distinguished Athlete award. I remember a lot more about those kinds of things than the wins and losses and the X's and O's. Those were the things those guys taught us and what I appreciated. ' Farrell was named a co-player of the year in the Kansas Collegiate Athletic Conference in 1995 and was one of four players to earn all-conference honors for the Moundbuilders that year.
