BALLARD, Uintah County — A Uintah County man was killed Wednesday afternoon in a head-on collision with another vehicle on U. S. 40 in Uintah County. Uriah Greyeyes, 29, of Fort Duchesne, was traveling east in a 2008 Dodge Dakota just east of Ballard around 2:20 p. m. when the truck hydroplaned, carrying it partially into the road's westbound lane, according to the Utah Highway Patrol. The Dodge hit a 2015 Chevrolet pickup truck that was pulling a trailer on the westbound side and then spun directly into the path of a westbound 2009 Ford F-150, Lt. Beau Mason said. Greyeyes, who was reportedly not wearing a seat belt, was ejected from the Dodge and killed. Eva Richens, a 66-year-old Duchesne-area woman who was driving the Ford, was extricated from her vehicle with critical injuries. Richens was wearing a seat belt, Mason said. Source: www.ksl.com
