2014 NORRA Mexican 1000 Registration Opens - Four Wheeler Magazine

Registration for the General Tire NORRA Mexican 1000 is now open and has already set a new record for entrants on the first day of registration. Noon of New Year’s Day has long been the traditional first day of registration and this year there were 73 entries processed. The first to register for the iconic vintage race was Dave Sykes who raced last year in his #46 1972 Ford/Dodge mutt race truck affectionately named “Superfodge. ” Sykes entered his race truck into one of NORRA’s most popular classes, the Vintage Open Truck/SUV class which includes the likes of South Point Hotel owner and former Mexican 1000 vintage overall winner Michael Gaughan, Las Vegas' Brian Collins,... The entry list for 2014 includes last year’s overall vintage champion Walker Evans, along with such notable racing names as Mark McMillin, Mark Post, Troy Herbst, Jim Smith, Dave Westhem, Mark Stahl, Randy Wilson, Buddy Feldkamp, Gay Smith, JT...
