Pottstown man charged with facilitating gun sale - The Mercury

Police received information last month from a concerned citizen that a man was selling heroin on the 300 block of North Charlotte Street. An informant also told authorities in August that they knew Ganns had been selling heroin to customers on North Charlotte and Jefferson streets, police said. During the surveillance, detectives also observed a male juvenile and an 18-year-old woman walking northbound along North Charlotte Street and turning right onto Oak Street. The juvenile then entered a parked red Dodge Avenger, police said. 26 detectives again observed Ganns on North Charlotte Street and watched him enter a parked gray Toyota Camry. Once police positively identified him, officers stopped Ganns and arrested him on an active warrant, according to court documents. Ganns explained that the weapon was a. 38 caliber revolver and that he instructed a girl who wanted to buy it to go to Charlotte and Oak streets and wait for someone to come with the revolver, police said.
