1962 Ferrari 400 Superamerica SWB Cabriolet Auctions for $7645000 - GTspirit

Sold on Saturday, the black Ferrari 400 Superamerica SWB Cabriolet by Pininfarina in question was actually the original show car from both the 1962 Geneva and New York motor shows. Additionally, it just so happens to be the very last short-wheelbased Superamerica produced and was once raced by its original owner at the Bonneville Salt Flats. When this Ferrari 400 Superamerica SWB Cabriolet was competing at the Bonneville Salt Flats it understandably stunned many as it was the most expensive Ferrari ever produced at the time. After being displayed at the Geneva Motor Show and New York Motor Show in 1962, chassis 3309 was sold to its aforementioned first owner, R. J. Stallings. Source: gtspirit.com
