Top Gear's Chris Evans will audition celebrities AND fans to find new co-hosts - Daily Mail

Top Gear fans will be able to audition to become presenters on the show by sending in a 30-second video of themselves talking about cars, new host Chris Evans revealed today. The best entries will then be picked out by production staff and invited to a live interview, similar to The X Factor, in front of Evans and other Top Gear producers. But he told radio listeners today that the professional presenting team might be joined by amateur co-hosts when the new version of Top Gear starts in March or April next year. 'We know in the past that Top Gear has benefited from the audition process,' Evans said. 'You can from tomorrow morning post a video on a website which we will announce tomorrow. 'The video must be no longer than 30 seconds - if it is, we won't watch it. All we want is you, your enthusiasm and what your relationship with cars is. 'You must know at least as much as me - preferably more than me - about cars. Source: www.dailymail.co.uk
