On June 25, 2015, he drove a silver Peugeot 206 on the A30 at Whiddon Down near Exeter without a basic policy of insurance or a valid licence. On the same date he was found in possession of 4. 7g of diamorphine, a controlled class A drug, and 0. 4g of cocaine, a controlled class A drug. On July 7, 2015, he, together with another man, stole a Toshiba TV, to the value of £179. 99, belonging to Co-op retail in Okehampton. On July 5, 2015, he, together with another man, stole meat, to the value of £50, belonging to Waitrose in Okehampton. On July 14, 2015, he, together with another man, stole meat, to the value of £331. 16, belonging to M&S in Tiverton. He was given a custodial sentence because he was deemed unwilling or unable to respond to non-custodial sentence. He was fined £260. Bobby Platten, 23, of Alphington Street, Exeter, was given a suspended prison sentence for breaking the terms of a community order. On July 19, 2014, he stole four cans of beer, to the value of £4. 50, belonging to Co-op in Exeter. Platten was committed to prison for four weeks, suspended for six months.
