Man arrested for touch screen thefts - C&G Newspapers

ROSEVILLE — Neighboring communities have been plagued by a rash of stolen touch-screen radio and navigational units taken from vehicles, and now a homeless man is under arrest, suspected of at least some of the thefts. 8 on charges of possessing stolen property, receiving and concealing a stolen vehicle, possession of burglary tools, and fleeing and eluding. 8, Roseville police were in the area of 12 Mile Road and Little Mack Avenue when they saw a man run from the north side of 12 Mile Road to the south side and then get into a 1997 Ford Thunderbird, which police discovered had been allegedly stolen... Inside the vehicle, police found 10 allegedly stolen GPS touch-screen units. Clair Shores police reported a rash of thefts of touch screens from vehicles in mid- to late July and also said they believe the man is connected to thefts on Dorion, Manhattan, St. Margaret, Timberidge and Heathwood.
