A 56-year-old Salinas man driving a white 1996 Ford Thunderbird north on the highway crossed over and made an unsafe turn, then drifted into a southbound lane and the right shoulder, according to Loza. The Ford struck a guardrail and came to a stop sideways in the southbound lane, where the big-rig struck it, Loza said. Emergency crews were called to the scene, where the Ford driver and his passenger, a 25-year-old Salinas woman, were pronounced dead at the scene, Loza said. Source: patch.com
