The overall shape of the 2016 Ford Taurus is strongly reminiscent of the Ford Fusion midsize sedan , with a smooth, sleek profile, a nearly identical Aston Martin-style grille, and what appear to be similarly shaped taillights out back. This should make the new Taurus significantly lighter and smaller overall than the outgoing Ford Taurus , which rides on Ford's dated D3 platform.
