Dixon man dies after collision at intersection on IL Rt. 38 - WQAD.com
Driving a 2007 GMC Yukon, 89-year-old Dean W. Shippert was headed eastbound on Illinois Route 38 when he made a left turn onto Sink Hollow Road, according to the statement. A 2005 Chevy Suburban, driven by a 31-year-old man from Ashton, Illinois, was headed westbound on the roadway when the two collided in the intersection. According to Langloss’ statement Shippert “turned left in front of the westbound vehicle. “The motor vehicle collision eventually resulted in the death of Shippert,” Langloss said in his statement. Police said there were four other passengers inside the Chevy Suburban: a 25-year-old woman and three boys ages three, five and seven. Source: wqad.com
