WESTLAKE, Ohio — Five people have been arrested following a rash of car thefts and thefts from cars in Westlake in the past week and a half. A 2000 Ford pickup was reported stolen from Center Ridge Road on the night of Aug. The doors to another Ford pickup parked nearby were damaged in an apparent attempt to steal it. The next night, a 2007 Pontiac G6 and a 2006 Pontiac Torrent were reported stolen from nearby driveways on Melibee Drive, a report said.
