Authorities still looking for alleged murderer - Examiner Enterprise

Bartlesville authorities say they are still looking into a recent recent shooting which left a 44-year-old Tulsa man dead. According to the BPD, Carl Ronald Rogers Jr. died July 26 after an incident police believe began in Douglass Park and ended in Oak Park. On July 29, investigators announced that they had found a Silver 2012 GMC Terrain SUV, which they had been attempting to locate since immediately following the incident. According to Hastings, authorities received a call of “a large disturbance” around 1:15 a. m. July 26 at a location in the 700 block of NW Acorn Street in Oak Park. “While officers were responding, they received other calls of shots being fired at the same location,” Hastings said. BPD investigators were then called to the scene and began collecting evidence and trying to locate witnesses. “Initially, it appears there was an argument in Douglass Park and the subjects involved drove north on Virginia Street to the remote location on Acorn Street in Oak Park, where the shooting took place,” Hastings said. Anyone with information about the shooting is urged to call the Bartlesville Police Department at 918-338-4001 or Crime Stoppers at 918-336-2583. Comments posted below are from readers.
