Semi-Lux Showdown: Silverado High Country vs. Sierra Denali 2500HD - Motor Trend (blog)

Eager to see what if any differences there were between High Country and Denali trims, we got in contact with GM and made arrangements to spend some time in a 2015 GMC Sierra Denali 2500HD (a non-HD Denali badge is shown above) and a 2015... On the outside, both trucks use the same material to differentiate themselves from lesser Silverados and Sierras: chrome. Both trucks have so much chrome that one can easily catch the light refraction from the wheels chasing the truck along the pavement as it drives down the road on a sunny day. Maybe it's my upbringing speaking, but the Sierra Denali appears more urban to my eyes, even if it'd make as much sense for an urbanite to own a heavy-duty pickup as it would a small-town farmer to own a Fiat 500e. The black paint and imposing... The difference between the Silverado High Country and Sierra Denali ends inside. The only discernible difference between the Chevy and GMC is that High Country trucks get brown leather with brown fake walnut trim where Denali trucks get black leather with a black wood-like trim. The Sierra Denali's luxury status was already tenuous at best, and now the High Country cheapens it even more — even if both trucks cost around $65,000 as equipped. Source: blogs.motortrend.com
