O'Fallon standout kicker McCann commits to Mizzou - STLtoday.com

O’Fallon High kicker Tucker McCann has committed to the University of Missouri and its 2016 football recruiting class, his coach Brandon Joggerst confirmed Monday. McCann set an Illinois record last fall when he booted a 60-yard field goal, breaking the previous mark of 59 yards that had stood since 1996. On his Twitter feed Monday, McCann wrote: “Blessed to announce my commitment to the University of Mizzou. Ranked second by the Kohl’s Kicking National Rating System, McCann is the second Southwestern Conference kicker to draw national interest in as many recruiting seasons. He was a second team Post-Dispatch All-Metro selection in December after a junior season in which he led O’Fallon in scoring with 53 points, including 11 field goals and 20 extra points. For his career, McCann has 19 field goals and 48 extra points. “I look for where I can get to be the best kicker I can be and make it to the next level,” McCann said in April. High school football players cannot officially sign with NCAA Division I or II universities until the first Wednesday in February of their senior year. Source: www.stltoday.com
