Officials have released the identity of the 20-year-old Hanford man who died Wednesday morning in a head-on collision along Highway 43. The California Highway Patrol said Pimentel was heading northbound on Highway 43, just north of Avenue 144, around 8 a. m. when the accident occurred. Pimentel was reportedly driving at an unknown rate of speed, when he suddenly crossed into the southbound lane of traffic and into the path of 59-year-old Raul Torres Yanez’s big rig.
