Chrysler is urging customers to contact the company for a software update if their vehicle is part of the recall. Discovered by a pair of security researchers, the exploit gives hackers the ability to remotely control an FCA auto, from simple functions like climate control and windshield wipers, to more serious systems, like brakes, steering and transmission. The recall comes days after Wired reported a demonstration by hackers in which they were able to access and control a Chrysler Jeep as it was being driven.
