GMC sales were up 3. 5% in August with 49,363 units sold, resulting in the brand’s best August in a decade. GMC was carried by high average transaction prices and strong pickup sales, as well as a record month from the Acadia. The Sierra was GMC’s heaviest lifter with a total of 21,241 trucks sold, a 7% year-over-year improvement.
