Reward extended to help solve fatal Long Beach hit-and-run - Long Beach Press Telegram

LOS ANGELES >> The Board of Supervisors approved Tuesday the renewal of a $10,000 reward for information in a 2014 hit-and-run fatality in Long Beach. 13, Long Beach police responding to a report of a hit-and-run crash found 20-year-old Daniel Gomez fatally injured on Spring Street, on the west side of El Dorado Park. Investigators believe Gomez was struck by a 2011-14 silver Honda Fit, based on debris left at the scene. Police said the car should have had damage to the front bumper and hood, a broken headlamp, a broken or missing side mirror housing — all on the driver’s side — and possibly a damaged windshield. A friend told the Long Beach Press-Telegram that Gomez was riding his skateboard home from El Dorado Park skate park when he was killed. Source: www.presstelegram.com
